BLADE GOES ONLINE
April
1, 1996 the official Sacred Blade site (Moonwatch Command
Module) went online. The site contains background information
on the band members, album information (including lyrics
for the first album and the 1983 release "The Alien"),
and is home to the band newsletter the Moonwatch
Commandscript.
The
site will grow to include links to new Sacred Blade
downloadable demos, video clips, reviews, extensive
background information, special merchandise offers

OF
THE SUN + MOON II:
NEW ALBUM ANNOUNCED
An
all new version of the of the sun + moon is being
recorded in its entirety, which will feature new versions
of all the material found on the 1986 debut album, performed
by the current band lineup.
"Due
to time and budget restraints, we weren't able to
produce the album we were aiming for back in 1986,"
producer Jeff Ulmer explains, "the new version will
finally reflect the original vision I had for this
material."
The album is being recorded entirely in the digital
realm. Release dates are yet to be announced.

THE COMPACT DISC
The
big newz of the year is the release of Sacred Blade'z
debut album of the sun + moon on compact disc.
The original vinyl release on Black Dragon Records was
only available in Europe, and has become somewhat of
a collector'z item. Now out of print, availability of
the LP has become extremely limited.
The digitally remastered, limited edition CD containz
all the original mixez and packaging included on the
1986 European release, plus rare OTS+M era photographz.

BOOTLEG ALERT
Reborn Classics has issued a bootleg Sacred Blade
CD under the title of Seven Moonz Of Xercez.
The CD is in no way related to the band's official second
album of the same name (release date still pending).
Advertised
in Europe by Hellion Records, the bootleg contains
poor quality versions of old Sacred Blade demo material.

ALIENATED?
Well,
not really, but you can catch band manager Brian
Barry in the 1996 season finale of The X-Files.
Brian appears as "Last Man", a shadowy cohort of the
Cancer Man.
